Fire extinguishing foam consists of water, foam producing concentrate and air. Air volume in the produced foam determines the foam type (low, medium and high expansion foam), properties of foam and field of its application. Principal extinguishing effect varies in dependence on the fact in question is the surface or space extinguishing and whether the effect is cooling or choking, preventing the oxygen access.
